Our Purpose:

The Yucaipa Volleyball Club was organized in 1998. The purpose is to develop volleyball skills; promote sportsmanship; inspire respect for the rules of the game; promote friendship in a competitive environment; to aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to a team will advance the well-being of the team, the club and the Southern California Volleyball Association. Our goal is to produce athletes that love the sport of volleyball and that know how to play it well.

What Sets Us Apart From Other Clubs:

We are a very successful club program based in beautiful Yucaipa, CA. We have highly qualified and experienced coaches that teach the skills and the game of volleyball. We focus on creating well rounded players who, through the sport of volleyball, gain confidence, learn the value of teamwork and become better young women and citizens as a result of their experiences here. Many of our Alumni have gone on to play at the college level with volleyball scholarship.

Yucaipa Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization. Because of this, our players are able to ask for tax-deductible  donations from family, friends and companies in order to help pay for club fees. In addition, we have set up a Scrip program which allows families to earn money for their accounts by shopping for things you already buy every day. We are committed to making club volleyball affordable to every player that is offered a spot on one of our teams.

General Information About Club Volleyball:

Club volleyball is the best way for young athletes to refine their skills in the sport. It is a program packed with practice and highly competitive game experience that yields true  athletic growth.

All tournaments and events are hosted by the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) of which we are an active member.  SCVA is a non-profit organization affiliated

with USA Volleyball- the national governing body for amateur volleyball.

The season officially begins in early December with practices. We hold 2 practices each week for 2 hours each night. Practice times are generally between 5:00 - 9:00 pm. (times and days will be determined by coaches once teams are formed) Practices continue throughout the entire season.

Tournament play begins in January and continues through June. Generally, tournament games are played on Saturdays and Sundays from approximately 7:00am - 2:00pm. Games are played at various sites, mostly at colleges and sports centers. There are usually 2 tournaments each month.

In addition to regular tournament play, there some tournaments that last 2-3 days. Our 18’s team travels to Las Vegas in February  for the Las Vegas Classic and our entire club will play in a week long tournament  in June that finishes the season. You can see these dates on the 2009-2010 schedule
